DrumsByRequest FAQs
Is there a special price, if I take the complete rhythm section from „by Request“ for my songs?
› Recording with the whole „by Request“-rhythm section is definitely the ideal solution and what we all really like the most! It’s a great choice to do the recordings for your song with a rhythm section that is quit experienced and has worked together in a lot different projects.
Do you have a recommendation on a good FTP program for us?
› For windows we recommend SmartFTP and for Mac we recommend Cyberduck. Both Tools are free and have been tested by the DbR-team.
I have my own drum sounds which I would like to use but I want my song to be played by a real drummer. Can that be arranged?
› If requested we can replace bass drum, snare and toms with sounds selected by the client. This is enabled by a specialised programme and costs extra (see the price list).
How often can i use the Special Offer?
› Only one Special for each user.
What should I do if I don’t like the drum sound or style?
› If that happens DbR can offer ONE second take at no extra cost. If you like the second take better, you simply get the second instead of the first take to download.
How long will it take before I can hear my drum demo?
› Usually you will have your demo on the server between two and a maximum of seven days from when we received your order. If you like it, you can download the track as soon as the order has been paid. If you urgently need a recording, just get in touch with us.
I do like the drum track that I have programmed but the recording sounds a bit flat. Does DbR also offer overdubs?
› We offer hi-hat, percussion and drum-fill overdubs to liven up your recording.
Do you also have E-Drums?
› Yes, E-Drums can be used. Please make a note of it in your order in the log-in area - or simply upload an example with E-Drums.
I don’t have a Mp3-File from an example track – only the names of the track and musicians.
› No problem. We have a massive music database – which likely includes your selected song.
How can I best describe the drums style or sound that I have in mind?
› The best way would be to upload an example of the style you want.
Otherwise try to describe the style you want, like, for example, rocky, big, dirty, funky, jazzy, crispy, fat, soft, smooth etc.
How can I pay for the drum tracks?
› We accept paypal, a bank transfer and credit cards.
